My comprehensive birth support package includes:
Childbirth education workshop
See here for more details. Even if this is not your first birth, take a day to recenter yourself in the realities of birth and think about where you are at for THIS birth. This also allows you (and your support person) to get to know me and work with me for a full day and develop our working relationship in advance of your birth.
Prenatal visit and support
On 24/7 call to come to birth, starting at 37 weeks until 42 weeks or birth, with backup support in the event of an emergency so you always have coverage.
One prenatal meeting, approximately 90 minutes long, in-person at the client’s home or location of their choosing
Phone/email/text support. I am here to answer questions, be a sounding board, and provide support from the time you sign the contract til 6 weeks after birth
Birth support
In-person support during active labor, birth, and up to 2 hours after
Remote support and option to extend in-person support during early labor as needed
On-call backup doula secured in the event that birth is long or an emergency prevents me from attending the birth or the full birth, so you are never without needed support
Postpartum support
One three-hour visit to your home roughly one week after birth. At this visit, you will have the opportunity, as desired, to: talk about and process the birth experience, talk about postpartum mood or other joys/challenges, receive emotional or practical support troubleshooting postpartum challenges, or receive basic lactation support and referral to a lactation consultant as needed. I can also do light meal prep with a focus on connecting to cultural postpartum traditions, tidying up the house, caring for baby or older children so you can sleep/shower/eat, etc.
Text/phone support for 6 weeks after labor
Cost: $1700. Sliding scale available based on ability to pay.
