Birth is a transformative experience.
Birth has the power to transform you from not-a-parent to parent, to initiate a new life chapter, and to illuminate yourself and your partner in a completely new light as you go beyond your comfort zone and explore new parts of yourself. No matter how you birth, it takes courage.
I’m Sarah Peitzmeier, full-spectrum doula.
I lead childbirth education workshops and accompany birthing people in labor and delivery and as they take their first steps postpartum in and around Silver Spring, Maryland.
My highest values in birthwork are reproductive justice, bodily autonomy, and birth sovereignty. I focus on your strengths, provide support in facing your fears, bolster your ability to advocate for yourself, and consider it an honor to be invited to accompany birthing people and their families during this life-changing, identity-shifting, heart-expanding time.
